Newly Reno'd 2 bdrm Kitsilano - Centrally Located

I'll be honest: this rental was a bit of a stretch for us, price-wise. But we come away from our experience with no regrets. The Vancouver housing market is reputed to be the most expensive in North America, and that seems likely to be driving the price on this unit. Prices, in general, should be reflective of demand and it's easy to see why this unit in this market runs so high. We loved this apartment. The location is ideal: close to groceries, cafes, and restaurants, but on a very quiet tree-lined street. The front balcony is a bit of heaven, with cool breezes and interesting views of neighborhood walkers. The apartment is also close to Granville Island and downtown/Stanley Park. UBC is also not far away. The layout of the apartment is good, with two bedrooms, a comfortable living room, a nice bathroom, and a fully-equipped kitchen. We'd definitely come back to this one. It was worth the price.

We had a great stay in Vancouver! We did have some issues with the power to the main bedroom but they were very helpful and did lots of trouble shooting.

Easy …was great for the weekend.

A small snafu with the cleaning service was immediately resolved upon arrival. Otherwise I loved the apartment! Parking was always on the block out front, so no issues there. Getting around was generally easy, but coming from North Vancouver, e.g. Capilano Suspension Bridge, took a while.I loved opening the front and back doors to the decks to get a refreshing breeze through the place. The kitchen was nicely equipped. Bed was quite comfortable. I also appreciated the walk ability to a great cafe on 4th Street, two blocks away for a London Fog (like a latte but made with tea).I had some fantastic meals and didn’t have to go downtown, they were 10-15 minutes by car, and one about 20 minutes on foot. It looks like VRBO doesn't want me to post the restaurant names.I was only there four days and there’s SO much I didn’t get to see. The Anthropology Museum and the Vancouver Aquarium were terrific.I look forward to returning for a much longer visit to really enjoy the city, and Vancouver Island as well. Several weeks in each sounds about right.I love visiting Canada!!
