TERMS & CONDITIONS

GENERAL
Stay in Vancouver acts as an agent for the property owner of the accommodation’s featured on our website. Your booking is with Stay in Vancouver. This contract incorporates all the conditions below.

BOOKING
The paying of the full amount confirms the acceptance of the terms and conditions set out below and shall be binding on the persons intending to occupy the premises whether or not such persons have signed the booking form. When a 50% deposit is paid prior to 60 days before arrival the residual amount should be paid prior to 60 days before arrival.

RATES
All rates for properties published on this website are quoted in CAD($) as a daily, weekly, or monthly rate including local and government taxes. Rates for each property reflect the maximum occupancy. Your rental comes with the facilities listed on the relevant web page.

INCLUDED / NOT INCLUDED
Rates include normal use of water, cost of gas and electricity, housekeeping services of the property (including clean sheets and towels) and maintenance. Rates do not include excessive use of electricity, baggage handling, gratuities, telephone, fax & telegram charges, car rental, food, soft drinks/ liquor, personal items & expenses and any excessive cleaning required upon departure. Additional services such as those of nannie, butlers , cooks and/or drivers can be booked extra with the booking.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
The cancellation fees are as follows:

Payments are non refundable. However, if we manage to re-let the property, we will refund you in full, less your reservation deposit. We recommend you take out travel insurance to cover against unforeseen circumstances. We reserve the right to cancel your stay at short notice if unexpected circumstances arise. In this case, we will refund you the cost of your stay in full or offer you an alternative date.

  • When a cancellation occurs more than 60 days prior to arrival; the cancellation fee will be equal to 50% of the total amount.
  • When the cancellation occurs within 60 days prior to arrival, or later the total amount will be charged. No refund can be issued.

CHECKING IN & OUT
General check-in time is after 3:00PM, and general checkout time is prior to 10:00AM, unless otherwise agreed. Account will be taken where possible of flight arrival/departure times etc.

LIABILITY
Under no circumstances shall Stay in Vancouver be held responsible for any loss, expense, damage, claim or injury either directly or indirectly, consequential or otherwise whatsoever, however caused or incurred, whether arising in contract or otherwise in law or equity as a result of rendering of the services or accommodation as described or substituted and including, without restricting the generality of the foregoing as a result of any delay(s), substitution(s), rescheduling(s), or change(s) in the provision of services or land accommodation by Stay in Vancouver or by reason military action, revolution or “acts of God”, or by any agents, employees, subcontractors, servants or third parties whatsoever supplying any of the services or accommodations herein or as substituted. If any accommodations and/or services are substituted, Stay in Vancouver at all times will act in good faith and use its best efforts to substitute with accommodations and/or services or a type comparable to those originally contracted. Stay in Vancouver at their sole and unfettered discretion reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service to any person(s) and/or to second any contract for accommodations or guests services.

COMPLAINTS AND DIFFUCLTIES
Please inform us of any problems immediately. We will deal with them right away. If a serious problem arises that we cannot resolve by the evening, we will provide a positive solution to you during your stay.

CONDUCT & BEHAVIOUR
The person booking with Stay in Vancouver is responsible under contract for the correct and appropriate behaviour of the guests staying at the property. Should any member of the party not behave in such a manner, the owner reserves the right to evict guests without compensation in the case of anti-social behaviour, unreasonable breakages, if smoking restrictions are not observed, if visitors are causing a fire risk, if the accommodation is being misused, or if there is a breach of these terms and conditions.

RESPECT FOR OWNERS PROPERTY
The owner should be advised of any breakages immediately. Please do not take away any items from the property at the end of your stay, they do not belong to you. Any items missing will be considered as theft. Please treat your accommodation / owners / fixtures and fittings with respect. Any illicit damage will be charged for. If guest's behaviour is found to be unacceptable, owners have the right to terminate the rental immediately, no refund will be due. Guests are kindly asked to abide by any rules and regulations set out by the property. Rules and regulations are set out for everyone and help with the management and running of a property. Please kindly abide by them and please be considerate of others.

ACCIDENTS, INJURY AND PERSONAL PROPERTY
The owner has no liability to you for the death or personal injury to you or any member of your party. We suggest you take out travel insurance to cover you for personal injury during your stay. We are not responsible for any loss, damage or theft to your personal property during your stay. Any valuables left at the property are left at one's own risk. Neither Stay in Vancouver nor the owners nor the staff is responsible for your loss or damage.

DATA PROTECTION
In order to complete your booking we require some personal details from you. We will only use this information in order to complete your booking and undertake to keep personal details confidential. (As stated in privacy policy)

RIGHT OF ENTRY
We reserve the right to enter the property to inspect it or carry out necessary repairs or maintenance during your stay.

EXTREME WEATHER
We will not issue a refund if extreme weather prevents you from travelling so we recommend you take out holiday insurance to cover for this eventuality. 

FAIR USAGE POLICY
Usage of electricity, complimentary toiletries or food items which the owner deems to be excessive will be charged at our discretion.

KEYS
Lost keys will be charged a specified ($CAD) fee per key.
