850 sq ft., 2 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, assigned underground parking
This two-bedroom condo is in a fantastic location on the edge of downtown just a few short blocks from the amazing seawall, English Bay, and the ocean. Located on the 13th floor you'll enjoy a spectacular view of English Bay from both bedrooms, the deck, and living area. Imagine sitting out on the deck in the evening with a glass of wine or a latte and taking in a summer sunset and ships in the harbour! If you're staying at the end of July or early August, from your balcony you'll even be able to watch the Celebration of Light fireworks which takes place in English Bay.
You'll be staying in a professionally decorated and fully stocked condominium. The living room has an internet-enabled Smart TV with Netflix and wifi, a pullout queen sofabed, and a dining room table that seats four. The galley kitchen has an electric stove, microwave, dishwasher, rice cooker, blender, coffee maker, and all the utensils, pots, and pans to cook your own meals.
The main bedroom has a queen-sized bed, 2 nightstands, closet, wall unit, laptop desk and an ensuite bathroom with tub/shower. The second smaller bedroom has a queen-sized bed and nightstand. There is a second bathroom with shower. All beds are Hilton-hotel-quality with top-of-the-line sheets, cozy down duvets and both down-filled and polyfill pillows.
You'll have your own washer/dryer and there's a hairdryer, an iron, ironing board, vacuum, and mop. There is also a starter supply of garbage bags, laundry and dishwashing detergent, toilet paper, soap and shampoo.
You have use of a fitness centre that opens onto a 9th-floor garden and that has an outdoor jacuzzi.
Parking is an assigned spot in the underground parkade with no additional charge.
Our condo is not childproof, and if you have a young child we recommend you keep all the windows and the patio door closed and locked at all times as there are no screens and you will be on the 13th floor.
There will be a pickup location or we will meet you at the condo to exchange the keys etc.
Interaction with Guests
You'll have the condo all to yourself. We live relatively close by, so can be there quickly if you need us.
The location is SUPERB and centrally located. You're on the doorstep to downtown and can walk just a few blocks to get to the shopping district, historic Gastown, the Art Gallery, Stanley Park and English Bay. You're a few minute walk to the Yaletown district where the annual Jazz Festival happens. Walk a few minutes to the seawall and take a sea-taxi to the tourist mecca of Granville Island Market, or to Vanier Park where the Planetarium, annual Bard on the Beach theatre, and Children's Festival happen each year (you can see all of these from your balcony). BC Place and Rogers Arena is about a 15 minute walk if you like concerts and hockey games.
Coming for the beach experience? You’re a short 5-10 minute walk to the beach at English Bay where the New Year's Day Polar Bear swim, Vancouver Pride Parade, and Celebration of Light fireworks festival happen every year. Follow the seawall to a nice outdoor pool and kids park at Third Beach. Continue on the seawall and you'll be in Stanley Park in no time where you can take in the Vancouver Aquarium, or walk in an old growth west coast forest.
Like shopping? You’re close to lots! We like Granville Island Market for fresh produce and baked goods, artisan crafts or to take in live theatre. Walk into the downtown core (or hop on the bus) where you can shop the famous Robson Street, the Bay, Holt Renfrew, Pacific Centre, or Nordstroms. Yaletown has some great one-of-a-kind shops too.
Are you a foodie? There are TONS of great high dining restaurants, ethnic eateries, cafes, coffee shops and fast food spots within walking distance. For beach and sunset views eat at Milestones or any restaurant on Beach Avenue which overlooks English Bay. Yaletown is a great spot to feast at some of Vancouver’s most well-known restaurants and brewpubs. The Sandbar or Bridges at Granville Island are really popular too. The second floor of our building has an elegant restaurant which serves modern French cuisine.
Relying on the bus? There are bus stops just a few minutes away and you're close to the Yaletown Skytrain station. Vancouver has a great transit system with a Skytrain that goes to Burnaby, Surrey, New Westminster and the airport. Or take the sea-taxi to get to some of tourist spots in the downtown vicinity.
Want to bike? Mobi is Vancouver's bike-sharing program. You can get a day pass for $7.50 or a monthly pass. There are bike depots throughout the downtown core including one about 2 blocks away. Check out mobibikes.ca for more
