The Space

This 2 storey, 1,500 sq ft heritage, character style home sits on a quiet, tree lined street in Vancouver's coveted Cambie neighbourhood. This gem has recently been fully renovated, is designer decorated and has all the amenities you'll need.

The living room has a large screen internet-enabled Smart TV with Netflix, free Wifi, and an electric fireplace. Off the living room is a separate dining room.

The home has 3 bedrooms. The main floor bedroom has a queen sized hotel quality very comfortable bed. Upstairs a second bedroom has a queen bed, and the third bedroom has two twin beds which can be moved together to create a king-sized bed. There's also a new, deluxe queen-sized sofa bed in the living room. All beds have exclusive hotel quality mattresses.

The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to cook at home, including restaurant quality kitchen appliances, a microwave, pots and pans, rice cooker, and chinaware. There is an eating area and table off the kitchen.

There are two bathrooms - one on the main floor with a bath/shower, and one upstairs with a shower. Both have radiant floor heating.

You'll enjoy your own washer dryer located in the upstairs bedroom closet.

Unassigned parking is on the street in front of the house.

Guest Access

The house has digital door locks, so there's no need to pick up, return, or share keys. We'll provide you with a 4 digit code to use during your stay. Our guests love this convenience.

Interaction with Guests

Come and go as you please and enjoy full privacy. You have the main floor and upstairs all to yourself. We have other guests staying in the basement suite, or in the laneway/coach home at the back of the property, but they have their own entrances. We do ask all our guests to be respectful of the other people sharing the property, and to our neighbours - no loud parties or loud music.

If you have any issues or questions during your stay, we live in the neighbourhood and we, or our handyman, can take care of any mishaps or problems.

The Neighbourhood

Cambie's a beautiful neighbourhood on Vancouver's sought after west side.

If you like to shop or eat out it's a short 2 minute walk to local stores, ethnic eateries, funky pubs, and unique boutique retail shops that await you in this trendy area of Cambie Village.

Or if you walk 10 minutes east of Cambie Street you'll find the funky area of Main Street. Main Street is an edgy, vibrant, up-and-coming neighbourhood with a delightful and eclectic mix of great eateries, hip cafes, late-night bistros, cool patio bars, and one-of-a-kind fashion boutiques. Voted by locals as Vancouver’s coolest street and best shopping district, the area is now recognized as one of the trendiest areas in Vancouver. Take a day to explore the shops.

If you want to catch a movie, walk to The Park movie theatre, a local favorite in the neighbourhood.

Also within a short distance is Douglas Park, which includes a community centre, playground for children, wading pool, soccer fields, and baseball diamonds. Located close by is Hillcrest Community centre, which was built for and hosted the 2010 Olympic curling. Hillcrest has an ice rink, library, large indoor & outdoor swimming pool, and outdoor playground. If you're feeling hungry while there, check out the Blue Parrot Café which serves up coffee, tea and an assortment of meals & delicious baking. Perfect for the whole family!

If you like getting in your 10,000 steps a day, stroll through the famous Queen Elizabeth Park which is a 5-minute walk away. This 52-hectare park is a major tourist attraction drawing in people from around the world to visit the spectacular views of the city and the North Shore mountains. Walk through the landscaped quarry garden, view the stunning water fountains, enjoy a picnic on the grass or experience the Bloedel Conservatory. You can also enjoy tennis, lawn bowling and pitch & putt golf. The park is also the perfect setting for fine dining at Seasons in the Park Restaurant, which overlooks the city,

Also not to be missed is Vancouver’s historic Nat Bailey Stadium, home of the Vancouver Canadians minor league baseball team - a farm club for the Toronto Blue Jays. Enjoy baseball's finest from June to September. Taking in a Canadians baseball game at Nat Bailey Stadium is a Vancouver tradition.

From November to April take in the Nat Bailey farmers market each Saturday from 10:00am-2:00pm for locally grown vegetables and fruit, meat and seafood from local ranchers and fishermen, artisan cheese and bread, herbs and seasonal nursery items, baked goods, prepared foods and artisanal craft.

Getting Around

You'll be just a 3 1/2 block walk to King Edward Skytrain Station, on the Canada Line which comes from YVR Airport (in 15 minutes), down the Cambie Corridor, all the way to downtown (in 5 minutes) and the Convention Centre. It's super convenient. Vancouver has a fabulous transit system and you may not even need a rental car during your stay.

Great Vancouver House

My family (wife, son - 9, daughter - 4) stayed at this house for 5 weeks and could not have been any happier. We have used VRBO for multiple long term vacations in the past and this house was one of our favorite. The location cannot be beat as you are walking distance to the train which will get you around Vancouver and only a short walk to Main Street which has all the restaurants you could ask for. As well, it's a short 30 minute drive to get to North Vancouver and the hiking trails. The house is perfect and in a great neighborhood - Suzanne is great to deal with (we had some minor issues that were resolved within a days time). I highly recommend this location to all Vancouver visitors.

Loved It!

I absolutely loved my stay here. The house is open, cozy and in a terrific location. The kitchen had everything I needed when I wanted to cook at home and it was a 5 min walk to terrific restaurants when I wanted to go out. Suzanne was a perfect host and she went above and beyond in every way, and she quickly responded to every question. I would have stayed longer if it was available!

Excellent home

This was a wonderful place to stay. The house felt like it had just been renovated and was so sweet and well-designed and comfortable and well-kept, with the kind of thoughtful touches - soaps, shampoos, tea and coffee - one might expect at a hotel. The location is good - very close to grocery store and the restaurants, coffee shops etc on Cambie and a quick transit ride (or a very good walk) from downtown. Suzanne was an incredibly attentive and responsive host. Overall it was an excellent home away from home.

Fabulous stay in Cambie!

We (3 couples) stayed at this 3 bedroom Cambie home for 3 nights and had a wonderful time. The home has been completely redone and is very attractive & comfortable. We enjoyed the Cambie neighborhood. Close by, we were able to walk and find groceries, a bank to exchange our US dollars, restaurants, etc. Vancouver is a very walkable city. We were only 4 blocks from the SkyTrain which can connect you to all of Vancouver. All in all, we had a great time. If we should find ourselves back in Vancouver we would definitely stay at this Cambie home again!

Great location for your Vancouver trip

We really enjoyed our brief stay in Vancouver, and were delighted to rent this house off of Cambie. The location is fabulous. Very close to the Skytrain, and able to get to Canada Place in less than 30 minutes. Granville Island is about 2 miles away-- close enough for a long walk or (as my husband I did) a lovely evening run. Suzanne is the property manager for the place and she met us in person and made sure we were comfortable. She even checked in via email half way through our stay, just to see how we were doing . (We were fine). The house is cute and very clean. Perfect for our family of four (though it could accommodate more people than that). The living room included a big fat binder filled with all the great things to do in Vancouver (our favorites were visiting Stanley Park at dusk and the Capsilano suspension bridge). There was some construction going in the backyard, so you may want to check before renting if that is still continuing. The construction crew were very polite and got started at a reasonable hour, so they weren't a problem for us. We would love to return to Vancouver and wouldn't hesitate renting this house again.

Fantastic Vancouver Home!

We had a group of 8 people staying over in Vancouver for a few days. This place was perfect for us! We had no car, so we really appreciated having so many good restaurants and stores within walking distance. It is also a quick easy walk to either the nearest bus stop or the nearest Skytrain station, so we had no problem getting around to see all that we wanted to see. The house itself was super clean and in excellent condition. The owners have everything you need right at your fingertips from umbrellas to guidebooks. The beds (including the sofa bed) were very comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows and blankets for everyone. The owners are also very friendly and super responsive to calls, texts, and emails. I would most definitely stay here again if I ever make it back to this beautiful city!

So happy to hear that you found our home so convenient, close to all transit and that our home was fully stocked with everything that you needed during your stay. Thank you for such a lovely review. We would love to host your stay next time you are in Vancouver.
